The
duties of the incumbent will involve manning stores for the Department.
Ordering equipment and laboratory consumables (mining components for
laboratories and design projects) and Consumables for mining Systems, liaising
with all technicians on their requirements in their respective laboratories.

 Issuing out equipment and components per requests. Creating inventory and updating
it, as well as updating stocks to minimum required levels before the beginning
of each semester. The person should show a willingness to learn.

Applicants
must have a relevant minimum National Certificate in Mining Engineering or
equivalent and at least 1 year post-qualification experience. Applicants should
have experience in Mining Engineering components use, interpretation and use of
datasheets for mining components, ability to test mining components,
maintenance and repair of equipment and installations.
