Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the
following posts in the ICT Department:

Duties

Monitor ICT Security




  • Assist in monitoring the university's ICT infrastructure for security threats, suspicious activities, and potential vulnerabilities using security monitoring tools.


Support Security Operations




  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and access management systems.


Conduct Security Assessments




  • Assist in performing vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk assessments, and support the implementation of recommended corrective measures.


Respond to Security Incidents




  • Support the investigation, documentation, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access, under the guidance of senior security personnel.


Promote Cybersecurity Awareness




  • Assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness programmes, user training, and best practice guidelines to promote safe and secure use of the university's ICT resources.



Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor ’ s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science,
    Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field.
  • Graduated within 2 years
  • Minimum degree class: 2.1
  • Understanding of information security principles and networking concepts.

Skills
  • Knowledge of network security, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Understanding of threat detection and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ethical conduct and attention to detail.
