Position SALES AND MARKETING ADMINISTRATOR (1)
Description

Business Development is a strategic business unit responsible for driving sales and marketing of the university range of products which includes; Palpo products, Optometry Services, Food products, Garment products, Detergents and Natural products among others. The unit focuses on market expansion, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and development of sustainable distribution channels.






The Sales and Marketing Administrator provides administrative and clerical support to the Business
Development Department. This role ensures the efficient operation of the
office, facilitates communications between the organization and external
partners and assists in managing documentation and records related to Business Development.



Duties
  • Provide administrative assistance to Business Development team including preparation of sales reports, minute taking, managing meeting schedules and maintaining customer database.
  • Attend to walk-in customers and respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Maintain accurate sales records.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, events and promotional activities.
  • Manage sales contracts, invoices and records to ensure compliance.
  • Work with cross functional teams including Finance, Logistics, Production, Research and Development to ensure smooth operations and achieve business success.
  • Coordinate with the webmaster to submit and
    update 
    staff changes on the departmental webpage on a quarterly basis or as needed,
    ensuring accurate and up to date information.
  • Manage the Business Development Manager's
    diary and travel arrangements, including itinerary planning, transport
    bookings, and accommodation. Handle Travel & Subsistence (T&S) claims
    and fuel assistance to ensure smooth and well- documented travel processes.
  • Manage departmental filling systems and
    ensure proper record-keeping. Handle procurement and ordering of stationery for
    the department and oversee the provision of refreshments for the Manager.
  • Download and print all applications, CVs,
    and certificates for the advertised posts. Summarize the qualifications,
    convene a meeting for selection, document the minutes, and forward them to HR
    departments.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the
    Business Development Manager. 




Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor’s
    degree in Business, Marketing or a related field with at least a 2.1-degree
    class
  • Five (5) O levels including Mathematics and English.
  • A certificate in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Sales Administration, Sales Operation or Customer Service.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and Microsoft Office
    packages.
