We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Dog Trainer Supervisor.
Duties
Training, care and management of dogs for various purposes including security, law enforcement and therapy;
Train dogs using various training methods to perform required tasks or respond to commands;
Feed, exercise and groom dogs regularly to ensure their physical health and well-being;
Inspect and assess the behavior of dogs to determine their temperament, ability and aptitude for training;
Provide dogs with positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors;
Handle dogs in different situations such as crowded public places, to ensure they are comfortable and can function effectively;
Address any behavior or medical issues with the appropriate professional, such as a Veterinarian or Animal Behaviorist;
Maintain records of each dog's progress and behavior;
Ensure the safety of dogs during training or work sessions and
Communicate with dog owners or relevant authorities about dog's progress, or any concerns.
Qualifications And Experience
A Certificate in Security Guard Training or its equivalent from a reputable Security Service Organisation/ Public Security Policing Institution/ Organisation or Provider;
Diploma in Animal Behavior or equivalent in a related field;
At least five (5) "O" Level subjects, including English Language;
A minimum of two (2) years relevant post-qualification work experience in Public/Private Security guarding at a reputable organisation;
Clean Criminal Record and must be physically fit;
Be able to demonstrate work of exceptional quality, have good interpersonal skills and good customer service;
Proof of Security and/or Asset Protection Operations experience would be an added advantage;
Previous experience as a Dog Handler, Dog Trainer or similar role;
Knowledge of dog breeds and their characteristics;
Familiar with positive reinforcement training methods;
Physical ability to handle potentially aggressive dogs;
Comfortable with working in all weather conditions and
