Position SENIOR CLEANING SUPERVISOR (1)
Description

  • To
    supervise supervisors, section leaders and housekeeping staff to achieve
    the departmental target.

  • To maintain
    the institution in the best possible standards.

  • Act
    in a pleasant, cheerful and courteous way and alert at all times.

  • Has
    a good understanding of people, genuine interest in housekeeping service
    and thorough knowledge of guest facilities.

  • To
    assist Grounds and Services Manager in leading the housekeeping team.

  • To
    be responsible for coordination and monitoring the activities of Services
    Section.

  • To
    develop training program and train the staff to be multi-skilled.

  • To
    prepare duty roaster, attendance records, leave balance.

  • To
    train employees effectively and recognize the need for coaching and counselling
    and do orientation to new staff.

  • To
    make quick decisions and possess good judgment.

  • To
    report all safety hazards and suspicious activities to the Grounds and
    Services Manager.

  • To
    know and understand all safety procedures and expectations as well as know
    their role in an emergency event.

  • To
    perform the other duties assigned by Management.

  • To
    organize efficient work schedules.

  • To
    work well with a team and individually without constant supervision.

  • To
    work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.

  • Senior
    Supervisor must be prepared to work irregular hours, shift, including
    weekends and holidays

Qualifications And Experience









·        
A diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent.



·        
A relevant degree would be an added advantage.



·        
At least 5 Ordinary level
passes including English Language.



·        
Experience in supervisory work
related to Hospitality.



·        
A minimum of 5 years’
experience in related discipline.



·        
Good communication and customer
contact skills



·        
Strong leadership,
interpersonal and training skills



·        
Well-presented and
professionally groomed at all times
