The
University is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated
individuals for the position of Audit
Clerk in the Internal Audit Department. The successful candidate will
provide administrative and technical support to the Internal Audit team in
carrying out audit assignments and maintaining proper audit documentation. The
role assists in ensuring that the University’s operations comply with internal policies,
procedures, and applicable regulations.
Duties
The successful candidate
will report to the Assistant Internal Auditor and will be responsible for the
following duties:
Assist the Internal Audit team in collecting and organising information
required for audit assignments.
Maintain and update audit files, working papers, and supporting documentation.
Assist in reviewing basic financial and
operational records to support audit procedures.
Assist in preparing draft schedules and
summaries required for audit reports.
Compile and organise data for audit analysis and
reporting.
Participate in routine audit activities such as
verification of records and documents.
Provide administrative support to the Internal
Audit department during audit assignments.
Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of audit
documents and records.
Perform any other duties related to internal
audit as may be assigned from time to time.
Assist in the preparation of
documentation required for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications And Experience
Higher National Diploma in Accounting.
Part CIA, ACCA Part C, Part
CIS and IIA membership will be an added
advantage.
At least 1 year experience
in the internal audit environment.
Skills
Knowledge of auditing software will be an added advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Unquestionable integrity; trustworthy, self-motivated, reliable and efficient.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
