Manage feeding schedules to optimise growth rates and maximise
production;

Plan and coordinate production
schedules;
·
Monitor aquatic species health
and implement disease control measures;
·
Ensure compliance with industry
standards and regulations;
·
Implement and maintain
biosecurity measures;
·
Manage budgets and optimize
efficiency;
·
Oversee maintenance and repair
of facilities and equipment;
·
Coordinate sales and marketing
activities;
·
Conduct regular inspections to
ensure optimal fish welfare;
·
Overseeing water quality monitoring and compiling relevant water
quality monitoring data primarily for management purposes;
·
Maintaining records related to fish production, including fish
growth rates, consumables, and non-consumables;
·
Maintaining an inventory of all assets in the Aquaculture Unit;
·
Ensuring maintenance of all equipment in the Aquaculture Unit;
·
Maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring optimum fish
health and biosecurity;
·
Supervising staff in the Aquaculture Unit;
·
Coordinating aquaculture-related research carried out by
lecturers and students;
·
Coordinating the establishment of a Hatchery Unit;
·
Supervising interns who may be assigned to the Aquaculture Unit;
·
Compiling regular reports related to the Aquaculture Unit;
·
Carrying out any other duties that may be assigned and
·
Overseeing the rearing and harvesting of fish.
