We are looking for a
motivated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The
successful candidate will assist lecturers in delivering high-quality learning
experiences, provide support to students, and help maintain an engaging and
inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting
  lecturers in the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, and
  practical sessions


• Conducting
  tutorial classes and revision sessions under supervision


• Supporting
  the grading of assignments, tests, and examinations in accordance with
  departmental guidelines


• Providing
  academic support and consultation to students


• Assisting
  with the preparation of teaching materials and learning resources


• Supporting
  research and departmental academic activities where required


• Performing
  any other duties as assigned by the Chairperson of Department or
  designated supervisor

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree
in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology or equivalent field from a recognized and
reputable institution with a degree classification of at least 2.1.

Candidates must have passed at least five (5)
Ordinary Level subjects, including:

• English
  Language


• Mathematics
  


• Science

Preference will be given to candidates with prior academic support experience at tertiary level.

• Strong communication skills and interpersonal
skills.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications.

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate
learners.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to
detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively with lecturers and
other staff members.
